In the above photo, you can see Bob Hacker in the background. The bottom line numbers are how much money we made NOT counting any referendum funds. So as you see we would have made $489,379 in 2019 and $376,175 in 2020.(those numbers in the "PB" line. That is a bond that we were paying and have finished paying it off. That's why it is added back in. That way you can see what we would have without that payment.) Thats an average of $432,777. That means in the last two years on average, not counting the referendum money WRV was profitable to the tune of $432,777/year in 2021 dollars.
I understand things can change, If they follow our trend they will get better. If they go back to the old way we could start losing money. This is why we have a rainy day fund. It currently has 3 million dollars. It will have 4 million dollars after 2021 and the final referendum funds are put in it.
So if we plan on having $432,777 to use on air handlers, roofs, heating, cooling, fixing stuff, and it doesn't work out we could have 4 million dollars in the rainy day fund.
Also in 2024 will be completely out of debt. We would then be able to borrow money at extremely low rates. For even more repairs and projects.
PLEASE HELP THE CITIZENS THAT HELPED YOU
1. No more referendums, the people of WRV have paid .41 cents for long enough.
2. Use the schools money to fix our buildings, it totals 7 million over the next 5 years.
3. The people sacrificed for you, it's time to work for them.
BORING MATH BELOW
In 2024 we have a debt/bond that will be paid off. The payment on it is $160,000/year. If as we make our last payment on it, we borrow 1.5 million at 2% for 10 years the payment will be $165,000/year. I believe our rainy day fund will have more than 4 million in at the end of 2021. Keep in mind in 2019 we spent $400,000 on capital improvements and in 2020 we spent $200,000.
So take the $432,777 per year from above. Take 2 million from our rainy day fund. Borrow the 1.5 million. Over 5 years you have 5.66 MILLION more DOLLARS. Still have 2 million in rainy day fund and have not increased our payments one dime. All of this on top of the $300,000 per year we spent on capital improvements. Which means you will be able to spend a total of $7,163,885 over 5 years on capital improvements.
To ask for another referendum of any size, you are going to have to explain to the people why 7 million over the next 5 years is not enough money.
